Tumbuhan landskap

Hello!! untuk posting kali ini Miss Nipuhawang akan terangkan tentang tumbuhan landskap.

Tumbuhan landskap boleh dibahagikan kepada beberapa jenis kegunaan, fungsi, tekstur, skala, warna, bentuk dan ciri pertumbuhannya.

Tumbuhan landskap boleh dibahagikan kepada 12 jenis tumbuhan iaitu:

a) Pokok Naungan atau saka
b) Pokok Palma
c) Pokok Renek
d) Kaktus dan Lendair (sukulen)
e) Pokok Orkid
f) Rumput Turf
g) Tumbuhan memanjat dan menjalar
h) Tanaman hiasan dalaman
i) Tanaman Penutup Bumi
j) Tanaman Semusim
k) Tumbuhan herba
l) Tumbuhan air (akuatik)

Untuk post kali ini saya akan terangkan mengenai pokok naungan, tumbuhan renek, tumbuhan penutup bumi dan rumput turf.
POKOK NAUNGAN

Pokok jenis ini ditanam untuk mendapatkan teduhan di kawasan tertentu. Selain itu jenis tumbuhan ini juga boleh digunakan sebagai penahan angin. Biasanya, pokok jenis ini adalah dari jenis saka dan berbatang tunggal. Ia juga dikenali sebagai pokok pinggiran jalan. Pokok ini tumbuh rendang dan mempunyai kanopi yang padat, boleh mencapai 10 meter tinggi dan hidup melebihi 50 tahun. 

Contoh:

Semarak api (Delonix regia)
Tembusu (Fragea fragnans)


Hujan-hujan (Samanea saman) also known as monkey pod 
Bungor (Lagerstroemia speciosa)
Bunga tanjung (Mimusop elengii)


Ciri- ciri pokok naungan
a) Bentuk : bujur telur, memanjang, kun, piramid, mengurai, bulat, mendatar, rampak

b) Ukuran 

Pokok naungan mempunyai saiz dan kadar tumbuhsaran yang berbeza:
i. Cepat membesar (2.5m setahun)
ii. Sederhana membesar (1.5-2.5m setahun)
iii. Lambat membesar (Kurang 1.5m setahun)

Ketinggian pokok naungan dirujuk pada ketinggian semasa matang.
i. Pokok rendah (4-10m)
ii. Pokok sederhana tinggi (10-15m)
iii. Pokok tinggi ( melebihi 15m)

c) Tekstur
Bertekstur halus ataupun kasar

d) Warna
Kebanyakan pokok naungan berwarna hijau tetapi adajuga yang daunnya berwarna-warni atau mengalami perubahan warna pada masa-masa tertentu. 


TUMBUHAN RENEK

Tumbuhan renek merupakan tumbuhan berbatang kayu yang banyak mengeluarkan dahan serta ranting daripada bahagian pangkal. Ketinggian bagi tumbuhan ini adalah kurang daripada 5 meter. Terdapat tumbuhan renek yang menarik atau mempunyai daun yang pelbagai warna dan bentuk.


Contoh :

Mengkudu siam (Pisonia subulata)

Sulpher alder (Turnera subulata)

TUMBUHAN PENUTUP BUMI

Tanaman penutup bumi ialah tumbuhan yang mempunyai ketinggian kurang daripada 30cm daripada permukaan tanah. Kebanyakkannya terdiri daripada tumbuhan yang tumbuh secara melata atau menjalar di atas permukaan tanah.

Contoh :
Pinto peanut(Arachis pintoi)
Alternanthera ficoidea

Pandanus pygmaeus


RUMPUT TURF

Rumput turf adalah sekumpulan rumput daripada keluarga Poaceae yang ditanam dan dijaga dengan rapi di padang permainan, halaman rumah, padang lumba kuda, padang golf dan pinggiran jalan.

Contoh:
Rumput bermuda (Digitaria didactyla)
St. Augustine grass (Stenotaphrum secundatum)
 Carpet grass (Axonopus compressus)

Today, we will learn about SOIL PROFILE.

So, do you ever heard about SOIL PROFILE before?? As its name. of course it is mainly about soil. This is one of the basic thing that you should know if you are studying soil science.

Before I go for any further explaination, after this lesson you will get to know a few things.

WHAT IS SOIL?



Soil is the loose material on top of rock. The soil maybe shallow and or tens of meter thick. There may be weathered material from the rock below or transported material deposited on the rock.

WHAT IS HORIZON?



Horizon is a layer of soil (product of activities at the top forms soil layers), approximately parallel to the surface, having distinct characteristics produced by soil forming processes. Soil horizons always used to classify the soil and make interpretations, The vertical section of the soil showing different horizons according to the depths is called SOIL PROFILE.


SOIL PROFILE

Most soils have three major horizon the surface horizon (A) the subsoil (B) and the substratum (C)

Some soils have an organism horizon can also be buried. 

The master horizon, E, is used for horizons that have a significant loss of minerals (elluviation).

Hard bedrock, which is not soil, uses the letter R.

What is botany?



WHAT IS BOTANY?
Botany is one of the main branches of Biology (zoology being the other); it is the systematic and scientific study of plants. Botany covers a lot of scientific discipline, such as chemistry, pathology, microbiology etc. Botany also covers specific sciences that caters for a specific study area in plant life such as Photochemistry that deals with chemical reaction, product and chemical derivatives in plants as well as it effects on other biological species, Plant Anatomy and Morphology which deals with structures, evolution, process and mechanism of plant parts and Taxonomy which is the science of describing, naming, and classifying of organisms. New sciences such as Genetic Engineering which caters the issue of Genetically Modified Organism (GMO), Economic Botany which deals on how to utilize the plant kingdom and even Forensic Botany, that uses plant to find clues for crimes.
Since the core of botany is plants (though it should also be reminded that in the study of botany, Kingdom Fungi and Algae is also discussed, though it has its own study: Mycology often paired with Virology, Phycology for algae). Basic Introductory Botany course will enable you to understand the interesting mechanisms of plants which include their growth and development, chemical properties, genetics, ecology, evolution etc. and most of them will instill an understanding on the importance of plants.
